Texture Explorations

Investigating different media has always been at the heart of my art making. The challenge to control manipulate and create with new materials is inspirational. My work does however focus mainly on relationship of texture and form. As a 3D artist by trade, I was originally drawn to wax for its sculptural qualities, opposite of what drew me to watercolor. These two bodies of work satisfy two dueling tactile outcomes for me. As I continue to explore them I hope their paths will meet and new pieces will merge their sensibilities.
